Blue Badge holders
Blue Badge holders are exempt from parking charges. Please ensure that you display your Blue Badge in the windscreen of your car. In the interest of security, Blue Badge holders are encouraged to register their vehicle with the Transport Office.
Disabled drivers that do not posess a Blue Badge will be charged standard fees for parking.
Motorcyclists
Motorcyclists are exempt from parking charges, but must register their vehicle with the Transport Office.
When parking charges apply
Parking charges apply:
- all year – not just during term time
- from Monday–Friday
- between the hours of 9am and 5pm
Parking charges do not apply on bank holidays.
Where to get a scratchcard
Staff scratchcards are on sale for staff only at:
- Hastings building reception (9am to 4pm)
- Eat Central in Bramber House (8am to 5pm; reduced opening hours during the summer)
- BSMS Doctor's Orders (for BSMS staff only)
Staff scratchcards are valid only when displayed with a free pass to park, issued by the Transport Office. Visitors should contact the relevant department or school for a visitor scratchcard, which do not require a pass-to-park.
