University of Sussex expands award-winning, free law clinics
The University of Sussex’s award-winning law clinics, which provide free legal advice to residents, businesses and charities in and around Brighton, have reopened. Read more
Alumnus Rustom Tata (Law 1984) also recently received a University of Sussex Fellowship at winter graduation for his voluntary work with the University’s employment law clinic. Read more
Sussex announced as Education Partner for Turner Prize 2023 at Towner Eastbourne
The partnership will see the University play a key role in developing and running an arts education programme around the Turner Prize, one of the world’s leading prizes for contemporary art, which is being exhibited for the first time in Sussex in 2023. Read more

Nobel Laureate Sir Harry Kroto remembered with chemical landmark blue plaque
A chemical landmark blue plaque, awarded to the University of Sussex by the Royal Society of Chemistry, was unveiled at a special event in June 2022 to honour Professor Sir Harry Kroto’s incredible contributions to science. Read more
The Kroto Science Room, opened on the same day as the plaque unveiling, is dedicated to Sir Harry's Nobel-prize winning research. The room is open to visitors to the University and is situated in the JMS building.
